Backing up your friends when they are going through a rough patch means stepping up to fight their battles for them. Looking at verses about intercession shows that praying for other people is a massive way to help when someone else is stuck, hurting, or completely overwhelmed.
Instead of only asking God to hook you up with what you want, you are basically acting like a spiritual defense attorney for your crew. The Bible points out that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are constantly stepping in to pray for us, which means we get to do the exact same thing for our classmates, family members, and teachers who need a serious breakthrough.
Pulling for someone else in prayer changes things behind the scenes in ways you might never fully see. When you lift up people who are struggling, you jump right into God's team effort to rescue and comfort the world.
