Verse Explanation
Hannah concluded by declaring that the Lord would judge the whole earth and strengthen His anointed king. Although Israel had no king at this time, her words prophetically anticipated the coming monarchy and ultimately pointed toward God's eternal King. This remarkable conclusion prepares readers for the events that unfold throughout 1 and 2 Samuel.
History
This prophecy anticipates Saul, David, and ultimately the Messiah.
